Permian watched
the Cougars put five runs up in the 1st
inning. Cooper scored again in the 2nd
and 4th innings to take a 9-1 lead. Josh
Ward led off the 6th with a walk, followed by
singles from Ryne Rice and Taylor Beall.
Ward scored to cut the lead to 9-2 going into
the 7th inning. Fabian Rivera singled
and Ryan Rumbaugh doubled, which scored
Rivera. Trevor Adams was hit by a pitch
and advanced to first. Grayson
Brookshire singled to right field, moving
Adams over and scoring Rumbaugh. Rice
singled and Adams scored. Beall belted a
shot to right field, allowing Brookshire and
Rice to score. |
